Netflix has just released the trailer for a new three-part documentary series that looks at the legacy of 2000’s hit TV series “America’s Next Top Model (ANTM)”.  The upcoming docuseries “Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model” is described as a ‘must-watch chronicle of America’s Next Top Model — and the chaos in front and behind the camera’.  The series will premiere on Monday, February 16th. Across interviews with former models, judges, and Tyra Banks herself, the project pulls the curtain back on the good, the bad, and the extremely ugly sides of the famed franchise—including body shaming, beauty standards, power dynamics, and moments that have aged poorly in the era of social media accountability. In the years since ANTM has been off air plus the rise of social media, a number of allegations have risen to the surface.  In 2022, Business Insider published an exposé about the show’s production, which former contestants called “psychological warfare.” One contestant, Eugena Washington, said she was put in a dangerous situation after walking down a wobbling runway in six-inch heels. R. Kelly has now spent close to two years in a medium-security federal prison in Butner, North Carolina, where the former R&B star continues to test the limits of a legal road that has largely run out. Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster is setting the record straight after news surfaced that she was briefly arrested. During a candid Instagram Live, Foster opened up about the incident, explaining that it stemmed from a lapse in car insurance on a company vehicle. She says she resolved the issue almost immediately.  WHAT HAPPENED According to Foster, the situation began last summer while she was driving along Peachtree Road in Atlanta. She says an officer pulled her over despite her not speeding, breaking any traffic laws, or making an illegal turn. “It felt like one of those ‘driving while Black’ moments,” she shared. After providing her license and registration, the officer informed her that the system showed her insurance wasn’t current. Foster says she acknowledged the issue, fixed it the very next day, and thought that was the end of it. What she didn’t realize, however, was that the ticket required an in-person court appearance to officially show proof of insurance to a judge. Because she never appeared in court, a warrant was issued without her knowledge. The situation escalated dramatically when Foster returned from a trip and was already seated on a plane. She recalls officers boarding the aircraft and paging her name over the loudspeaker. “My heart stopped,” she said. “I definitely didn’t think they were going to say I had a warrant for failing to appear.” Foster also expressed frustration over hostility from staff, even after her fine had been paid and the matter resolved. Now reflecting on the ordeal, Foster is using her platform to warn others. Her message is simple but serious: “Handle your business. Stay on point. Ye, formerly Kanye West, seeks forgiveness for his past antisemitic remarks in an open letter published as an advertisement in the latest issue of the Wall Street Journal. Published on Monday morning (Jan. 26), the mogul published a lengthy letter titled “To Those I’ve Hurt,” offering his most expansive apology yet for the antisemitic remarks and behavior that derailed his career and reputation over the past several years. Ye took out a Wall Street Journal ad to apologize for past antisemitic remarks.
