Earlier this month, unusual posters began appearing around Toronto, Drake’s hometown. The ads paired the McDonald’s Golden Arches with the OVO owl and carried the phrase “Where night owls land.” At first, they read like a tease—a subtle merging of two globally recognizable brands. Now, the collaboration is official.
McDonald’s Canada has introduced the OVO x McDonald’s “Afters Meal,” according to reports. The limited-time menu offers customers a choice between a Junior Chicken or a McDouble, each served with a blue-tinted beverage called “Nite Sprite.” The drink’s flavor has not been fully detailed. It is unclear whether the promotion will extend beyond Canada.
The partnership fits within McDonald’s recent strategy of aligning itself with musicians. In the past few years, the company has rolled out high-profile “Famous Orders” with artists including Travis Scott, Cardi B and Offset, Saweetie and Mariah Carey. Those collaborations blurred the line between marketing campaign and cultural moment. Drake’s entry continues that pattern, rooted in both brand recognition and hometown symbolism.
‘ICEMAN’ Rumors Heat Up as Drake Hints at a Chilling New Era
The timing has also fueled conversation about Drake’s next album, ICEMAN. Although a release date has not been confirmed, hints have surfaced in recent weeks. Drake posted a brief Instagram Story from outdoors, writing, “Oooo it’s freezing, About to be.” The caption was interpreted by many fans as a reference to the album’s title.
If released soon, ICEMAN would follow For All The Dogs, issued in 2023, and his 2025 joint project with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. Drake has largely stayed quiet about the record itself. Producer Conductor Williams recently suggested it may not be far off, telling a crowd, “Ayo, however y’all feel about The Boy, ICEMAN is soon. Real soon.” Until then, the music remains forthcoming—and for now, the collaboration arrives in the form of a late-night meal.
